Region 8 Nesting structure install day

Join us in volunteering to clean out wood duck boxes, cleanout/ recpack hen tubes, and install new mallard hen tubes at the Tonawanda, John White, and Oak Orchard WMA's.

We will be meeting at the Sprout Marsh overlook South of 77 just East of East Ruddy Marsh.

We will have a job to fill, even if you cannot wade into the marsh

Useful items to bring:
Kayak/canoe
utility trailer
pliers(linesman pliers ideal)
cutting dikes
hog ring pliers
jet sled(s)

Clothing:
Waders
weather appropriate clothing
waterproof jacket/gloves likely needed
fold up chair to sit for lunch

8 AM meetup to sign liability forms and a show and tell
815 start time
1(ish) lunch provided

Please remember volunteers under 18 will need parental consent, and all volunteers will be asked to fill out a waiver.

State and Delta volunteer paperwork will need to be filled out and signed. You can click the link below to print and sign and bring with you. If you filled out the state paperwork last year you are good to go on that, just a delta liability form will need to be filled out.

The Public NYS Volunteer paperwork will also need to be filled out and a copy of your drivers licence provided. This needs to be done prior to the event and emailed to us.
