Donated to Buffalo Fire Department - Engine 33 for saving some ducklings

We did a thing.

You may have saw how Engine 33 of The Buffalo Fire Department rescued 8 ducklings last Friday from certain death when they fell down a storm drain.

Well we wanted to show our appreciation for them, being first responders they deserve the highest level of respect. Since Monday we worked with our proud sponsor John's Pizza & Subs as we wanted to try and do something for the crew at Engine 33-Buffalo Fire Dept. And today we dropped off lunch for the crew, courtesy of John’s Pizza and hand delivered by Gene Mongan Sr. himself, along with bags of Delta Waterfowl Foundation swag.

These guys were top notch and showed us around and spent some time chatting with us. They are pure professionals. We also presented them with a hand carved Joey jobes drake mallard decoy(who clearly was “duck”ing his fatherly duties in the video) donated by Charles Vanepps with a special message to the guys from your committee.

I am proud to live in Buffalo and call these guys neighbors. They risk their life to save others, small and large, furry or feathered.

Unfortunately for them their namesake “The Big Dogs” was affectionately changed by the rest of the department to “Duck Dynasty”.
